Sirak Bahta is an agricultural economist with ILRI’s Changing Demand and Markets Institutions research team. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Giessen, Germany, a MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Free State, South Africa and an Ingenieur degree from CAH Dronten. He previously worked as a researcher at the Heinrich von Thunen Institut and the German Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries in Braunschweig, Germany.
Siboniso Moyo is ILRI’s regional representative for Southern Africa, based in Maputo, Mozambique. She holds an MSc in animal husbandry and a PhD in Animal Science. She has over 20 years’ experience in livestock research in Zimbabwe. She headed the Matopos Livestock Research Station in Zimbabwe from 1997 to 2002 and was National Director for Livestock Production and Development in Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Agriculture from 2002 to 2006. Her fields of specialization include breed performance evaluation, smallholder livestock production systems, livestock research and management, and partnership development.
